J.R. was involved in a car accident when another driver ran a stoplight. Due to his “tough-guy” attitude, he did not seek medical treatment for low back pain until three weeks after the crash. When an MRI scan of his low back showed a herniation, he underwent a steroid injection, which provided him substantial pain relief.
